"Don't miss out come and hang out with us all" Wow just wow! kaitiaki Sisters were given the opportunity to collaborate with Auckland City Council and Love Food Hate Waste New Zealand, by donating 100 peke filled with some amazing ingredients to go towards making a lovely recipe from the Spring edition of the "Easy Choice Family Kai" booklet. The day was packed with stopping off to 10 amazing Pataka kai stands we visited a few from each area being Manurewa, Takanini, Papakura and Otara. We meet a few amazing Kaitiaki from Clendon Pride Project Community House, The Corner and Cooper Cres, all of whom are proud to be supporting their communities, big or small the task. We would like to give shout out to both Auckland Council and Love Food Hate Waste for sharing this opportunity with us. - KS Team We had a great turnout during our workshop at Te Matariki Clendon Library even if the majority were youngsters enjoying their holiday programmes at the library, each of them walking away with a reusable wrap. We also had a few mummas bring their little ones along to learn how to make their very own reusable wrap which is a more environmentally friendly alternative to cling wrap.
Thanks to our amazing host Henry & Jamie-Lee from Clendon library and the lovely ladies who joined in to learn how to make their own bees wax wraps while also leaving with a couple of kits in tow. Thanks everyone for coming along we enjoyed hanging out. |
